Now you can listen to my blog posts as well as read them. Read below or press play to listen to me read it to you. I write this as someone who has incredibly strong convictions and beliefs about what outcome would be best tomorrow, this week, from now on. I do not wish to erase that, nor do I wish to pretend that isn’t the case.
That being said, for the sake of our collective energy. For the sake of our mental and emotional health and well-being, I recognize the immense need for hope right now. Not as some pie-in-the-sky, spiritual bypassing rhetoric. But because our nervous system desperately needs hope in order to move itself out of the high stress and anxiety response that we have all been feeling these last several months. For the sake of our immune systems, we need to find some kind of hope so that it will be able to continue to do its job. For the sake of each other, so that we may find solace and peace in one another again. And for the sake of ourselves, so that we may see the light that we carry each and every day and how it impacts all who come into contact with it. May we not forget the goodness of this life as we sit with bated breath for an outcome that will bring a reaction in either direction. And so I offer the following. Even in the knowing of my own desperate wishing, so that we may be able to manage our emotions this week and be of incredible value not just to ourselves, but to each other. Simply Repeat the following, perhaps closing your eyes and taking a deep breath with each one: No matter what, I will continue to do what is right. No matter what, humanity will find a way. No matter what, healing is happening. No matter what, my light is abundant and valuable. No matter what, it matters what I think of myself over all else. No matter what, I am in charge of my own mindset. No matter what, I am able to choose where I place my time, my attention and my focus. No matter what, I will do good in the service of others. No matter what, I will work to see the good in others. No matter what, I will come to myself first when I feel disconnected. No matter what, I will listen to my fear with great respect. No matter what, I will choose love. No matter what, I will look for the helpers. No matter what, I will ask how I can help. No matter what, I will breathe my breath with the knowledge of what a gift it is. No matter what, I will move my body so as to not get stuck in one specific feeling. No matter what, I will honor the power of my stillness. My listening. No matter what, I will see the beauty around me. No matter what, I will hear the sounds that bring me to the present moment. No matter what, I will taste the sweetness of life. No matter what, I will smell the scents of this one precious earth and all her offerings. No matter what, I will feel what I feel to its fullness. My fullness. No matter what, I will be here now. No matter what, I am ready to serve. No matter what, I am ready to heal. No matter what, I am ready. I am ready. I am ready. I am ready.
