As a yoga teacher my job has been to hold space for people to cultivate the opportunity to impact-fully help themselves. As a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, my job is to hold space for people to cultivate the opportunity to help both themselves and their family. I have always sought to empower and inspire through both of these avenues. I am thrilled to announce that I am now adding in another space where I can help people cultivate the opportunity to help themselves, their family AND their communities! A space where we can come together as human beings and soften some of the very real difficulties that we all face at one time or another. I would like to introduce you to Supportful and I as their Community Manager! Who we are: Supportful is an online platform designed to transform the human experience surrounding hardships, from one that feels overwhelming, isolating and burdensome, to one that feels manageable, compassionate and strengthened by community. What we do: Unlike existing resources, crowdfunding sites that only provide fundraising, Supportful aims to focus on the entire support experience. This includes volunteering, meal-sending, storytelling, and group communication to provide all of the ever-changing, practical things people actually need, along with fund-raising for unexpected bills and expenses. Why we do it: Our goal is to make it easy for people to give and receive useful, meaningful help; to transform “How can I help?” from a polite question into an opportunity for action and impact. How can you get involved? Supportful will be officially launching this coming Father’s Day! In the meantime, if you or someone you know would like to create a care page you can begin by visiting www.Supportful.com. You can also contact me personally at [email protected] and along with our Chief Success Officer, we will happily get you started and answer any questions that you may have! Supportful is not just a company; it’s a movement. Tragedies don’t discriminate, nor ask when or where is most convenient for you. At some point we all need meaningful support. Together we’re building a global community determined to improve the human experience and leave a Supportful Footprint in the world. Join the movement and #BeSupportful One of my favorite quotes is "As we grow older we realize that we have two hands, one for helping ourselves and the other for helping others". I feel incredibly grateful that I get to do this work with my two hands, each and every day. And as always, thank you for your Support! - Sara
